- Part-time/Non-Exempt**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
The Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator assists with all membership and healthy lifestyles department strategies and initiatives. Key responsibilities for Healthy Lifestyles include assistance with health & wellness programs, group exercise classes (land & water), equipment maintenance and care of facilities, and personal & group training. This leadership position is responsible for assisting in daily operations of the Membership and Healthy Lifestyles Departments, including the Healthy Lifestyles Center and Group Exercise areas. The Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator is accountable for delivering an exemplary membership experience and for handling customer related services. This position works alongside the Membership & Healthy Lifestyles Director to provide a seamless transition for members, from the point of enrollment to the long term relationship development and retention of the member. This Coordinator assists with leading the development, growth, and retention of our membership and wellness programs. This position works to meet the needs of members and the community through program and event execution. The Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator role works under the direct supervision of the Membership & Healthy Lifestyles Director to provide quality service and communication to the members, assist members along their journeys to improved well-being, and ensure an excellent membership experience for all.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS**:

- Ensures the Branch meets the needs of members and the community by implementing healthy living programs, strategies, and initiatives.
- Ensures that the Health & Wellness goals of the Branch are met. Keep in mind the Strategic Advantages of: YMCA Values, Community-Based Branches, Equity and Inclusion, and Multi-Generational service. Utilizes the association Strategy Screen in operational decision making. Understands the association Strategic Priorities including the Community Impact areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft office programs, and excellent personal computer experience.
- Ability to operate and train in Active Net and other systems such as MotionVibe.
- Knowledge of conducting and implementing safe and effective programs and events.
- Knowledge of general health and wellness.
- Customer service oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills, well organized and multi-tasked oriented.

**Education/Training**:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/AED and First Aid required.
- TB required.

**Experience**:

- 2 years minimum experience working in membership, sales, customer service, and health & wellness related activities.
- Experience in working with, training, and developing staff and volunteers preferred
- General office operations experience preferred.
