Terms of Reference

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión directa del Jefe de Sub-Oficina y/o su representante designado(a); y la supervisión técnica del Assitant IT Officer y/o su representante designado(a); el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

Supervisar y mantener la red LAN, los servidores de red, los encaminadores, las impresoras, los puntos LAN y los conmutadores, los paneles de conexión y los puntos de acceso para evitar que se produzcan fallos.
- Asegurar que el equipo bajo la responsabilidad esté en buenas condiciones de funcionamiento. inspeccionando regularmente el hardware y las instalaciones. Si es necesario, organizar con pronti-tud las reparaciones o el reemplazo según sea necesario de acuerdo con los procedimientos esta-blecidos.- Mantener registros de las instalaciones y las reparaciones/reemplazos realizados y man-tener al supervisor completamente informado sobre el estado del equipo.
- Garantizar que la recuperación de problemas de TIC se realiza lo más rápidamente posible y ha-cer copias de seguridad periódicas del sistema.
- Ayudar en la instalación de los paquetes de software, reparación básica/mantenimiento de los equipos informáticos y de telecomunicaciones.
- Impartir formación al personal del ACNUR sobre el sistema de correo electrónico, la utilización de los dispositivos portátiles VHF y el sistema telefónico. Formación en comunicación por radio al nuevo personal de IP y a la policía de paquetes sobre el terreno.
- Distribuir cables entrantes, mensajes y otras comunicaciones de acuerdo con las instrucciones establecidas.
- Añadir y eliminar usuarios, grupos y listas de distribución.
- Realizar mantenimiento menor de hardware
- Mantener el inventario de equipos de TIC y llevar un registro de los movimientos de dichos equi-pos.
- Llevar a cabo misiones para nuevas instalaciones y recorridos de mantenimiento de rutina de equipos de telecomunicaciones
- Seleccionar los medios más eficaces y económicos para la transmisión de mensajes, teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza y la prioridad de las comunicaciones que deben transmitirse.
- Proveer soporte técnico brindar asesoría en temas TIC al personal de ACNUR .
- Llevar a cabo la actualización de las computadoras (hardware, software) en las oficinas de ACNUR para mantener los estándares actuales de ACNUR y, la posterior instalación de las nuevas plata-formas de software.
- Servir de enlace directo con los usuarios finales para aclarar los análisis y resolver los problemas informados, brindando un alto nivel de servicios al cliente.
- Escalar los problemas al supervisor si el incidente / problema no se puede resolver dentro del alcance de la responsabilidad.
- Realizar tareas administrativas, dentro del ámbito de competencia que le sean asignadas.
- Decidir la resolución adecuada de los incidentes.
- Realizar otras tareas relacionadas según se requiera.

Además de lo anterior, a los Voluntarios de la ONU se les insta a integrarse al mandato del pro-grama VNU en el marco de su asignación y promover la acción voluntaria a través de la integración en las comunidades en el desarrollo de su trabajo. Como tales, los Voluntarios de la ONU deben dedicar parte de su tiempo de trabajo a alguna de las siguientes actividades recomendadas:

• Fortalecer su conocimiento y entendimiento sobre el concepto de voluntariado por medio de la lectura de publicaciones pertinentes tanto del programa VNU como externas, así como desempeñar un papel activo en las actividades del programa VNU (por ejemplo, en los eventos de conmemoración del Día Internacional del Voluntariado);

• Conocer y desarrollar las formas tradicionales y/o locales de voluntariado en el país anfi-trión;

• Proveer reportes de autoevaluación anuales y al finalizar la asignación sobre las acciones de VNU, resultados y oportunidades;

• Contribuir con artículos/críticas de sus experiencias en el terreno y enviarlas a la sede para su inclusión en el sitio web, publicaciones, panfletos/boletines, notas de prensa, etc. del programa VNU;

• Ayudar con el Programa de Mentores para los nuevos Jóvenes Voluntarios de la ONU;
