Business Unit Director for Colombia and Ecuador reporting to the Managing Director of cluster and serving on the Country Leadership Team.

The BUD will have P&L responsibility for the marketing organization, covering Oncology sales.

Currently, this is a high double digit growing business unit with drugs in the portfolio being leaders in the country pharmaceutical and oncology markets.

This individual will oversee the development of strategic, tactical, and life-cycle management plans, collaborating with members of the local, regional, and global teams to accelerate the growth of priority products/indications and flawlessly execute the launch of new indications/products.

In this role, the BUD will work closely with other members of our executive leadership team to set our strategic priorities for the subsidiary, including our priorities for talent, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and compliance.


This position will require outstanding leadership in all areas of product management including market assessment, market & customer segmentation, market development, disease state strategy, thought leaders' engagement, market access, product strategy and positioning, forecasting, promotion strategy, channel strategies, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.


Key responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Leverage a customer-centric approach to develop strategies and solutions that allow us to create and capture value, becoming the leading Oncology company in the market.
  • Provide commercial leadership and input on health authority interactions, regulatory filing strategy, launch readiness reviews, key customer management, and thought leader engagement.
  • Lead forecasting, resource allocation, expense management, performance monitoring, and P&L management to deliver against financial commitments.
  • Establish, monitor, adjust and achieve key business outcomes.
  • Leverage various strategies, analytical tools, processes, and methods to optimize field force capabilities, effectiveness, and performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a highperforming team; modeling and reinforcing our ways of working and providing ongoing feedback/coaching.
  • Work effectively with local and regional crossfunctional partners including market access, policy, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, legal, and compliance to successfully navigate the internal and external environment.
  • Build and sustain relationship with key external stakeholders, customers, and scientific leaders.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of the Oncology category, including competitors, to identify bestpractices and propose innovative/alternative methods to deliver value to consumers, patients, providers, and customers.
  • Leverage a longterm plan for oncology products considering market dynamics and product life cycle
  • Create an innovative environment to allow the creation and development of disruptive projects

Education Requirement:

  • Advanced degree (preferred) e.g., master's degree, MBA or PharmD

Required experience:

  • 7+ years in Pharmaceutical/Lifesciences Industry with emphasis in marketing, market access, policy, or medical affairs.
  • 3+ years in Oncology marketing
  • Product/customer strategy development
  • Strong business, financial, and compliance acumen
  • Understanding of industry specific legal, compliance, and regulatory policies
  • Leading teams in a solid line and/or matrix environment
  • Track record of people development
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams
  • Business fluency in English and Spanish written/verbal and strong presentation skills

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Colombia healthcare system
  • Product launch experience
  • Market access & Government Affairs knowledge/experience
