About the location: In Cartagena, Colombia's Caribbean coast, Four Seasons is breathing new life into historic buildings dating back to the 16th century. Offering 131 accommodations, including 27 suites, in the charming Getsemaní neighborhood, the hotel features four restaurants, two ballrooms, a Spa, Fitness Centre, and two rooftop pools. With timeless style and renowned service, Four Seasons is redefining Cartagena's cultural scene.
About the role
We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Hotel Manager with a solid background in Food & Beverage to lead our operations team. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator proficient in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
What you will do
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day hotel operations.
- Participate in Planning Committee meetings and events.
- Analyze financial reports and take appropriate actions based on results.
- Conduct regular hotel tours, recommend changes, and ensure standards are met.
- Communicate regularly with all levels of staff.
- Maintain venue integrity through collaboration with F&B and marketing teams.
- Innovate culinary and mixology experiences.
- Ensure adherence to budgets and timetables for projects.
- Collaborate with HR on staffing, morale, and employee relations.
- Maintain facility standards and oversee profit improvement initiatives.
- Act as General Manager in their absence.
- Deal with emergencies and safety issues, maintaining guest and employee safety.
- Foster a strong relationship with hotel owners.
- Engage with guests and address service issues.
- Directly supervise key staff members.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
What you bring
Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Degree or 5-10 years of experience in hotel operations/management.
Significant previous experience in F&B.
