What the typical day will look like

Lead and grow assigned group captives.

Essential Functions:
  • Analyze the captive's financial position to ensure the captive maintains financial stability
  • Maintain a retention ratio of 98% or more.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of industry practices, trends and financial arrangements.
  • Contribute to the launching of needed new group captive programs.
  • Function as the consultant to captive insurance programs with respect to the operation and the management of the captive insurance company.
  • Implement stewardship meetings with clients.
  • Plan and facilitate the semi-annual captive executive committee and board of director meetings in conjunction with Finance and Risk Management Teams. .
  • Evaluate and negotiate the captive program's insurance coverage.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, brokers and service providers to meet the captive's needs and ensure captive client satisfaction.
  • Anticipate captive needs and issues and proactively offer solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Services and Marketing Division as required.
  • Manage sales situations and account service to comply with corporate professional standards.
  • Prepare and implement an individual business plan and production budget for each captive.
  • Identify opportunities to cross sell Artex products and solutions to clients including analytics, actuarial etc
  • Produce revenue through sales to new clients directly and assist production team as necessary to grow. Work with the production team to have a defined marketing plan for each of your assigned captives.

Other Functions:
  • Direct and coordinate captive team members and resources to effectively manage and grow the captive program.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience: 8 years in the insurance sector
  • Technical Knowledge: insurance, actuarial issues
  • Studies and/or specialties: professional graduated in administrative, engineering, economic, health or legal careers.
  • Technological Tools: Excel, power BI
  • Languages: Sophisticated English
