Purpose and General Relevance to the Organization
The Billing Analyst is responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the issuance of invoices to customers. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Process and issue invoices to customers in accordance with the terms of orders and as contracted.
- Verify accuracy of information on invoices, including prices, quantities and discounts.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, working closely with other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of billing transactions.
- Communicate with customers to address questions or issues related to invoices.
- Collaborate with accounting team to ensure integrity of financial data.
- Generate periodic reports on billing and payment status.
Knowledge and Skills
- Previous experience in billing or accounting functions.
- Solid knowledge of billing procedures and principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of billing software and SAP is preferred.
Required Education and Experience / Minimum Requirements
- Technician or Technologist or accounting student.
- Experience from 4 months to one year in the position.
