Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant - LATAM
Location: Remote (EST Timezone)

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM CST

Job Description:

We are a Financial Accounting services firm founded in 2023. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to work closely with our Fractional CFO team and Head of Accounting to support accounting engagements for our clients. Our client base of leading startups span all industries - from SaaS to DTC to FinTech - and are backed by top VC firms, such as Sequoia, a16z, General Catalyst, Founders Fund, and more.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support client accounting engagements, driving key aspects of their bookkeeping process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of business financials
• Prepare and review all financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement on a monthly basis within 7 business days of month end
• Provide basic accounting training to clients to educate them on how to properly read their financial statements, gather insights, and recognize trends over time
• Provide ongoing financial reporting, tracking of Key Performance Indicators, strategic insights into business performance, and proactive cash flow management to clients
• Support clients through fundraising processes through data room preparation, communication with external financing partners, and ongoing needs
• Collaborate closely with tax partners to provide information necessary for quarterly estimates and annual corporate tax filings
• Manage bookkeeping categorization on a weekly basis, owning communication process with clients to ensure accurate categorization of vendors and expenses
• Integrate external apps and platforms with QuickBooks Online, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Corporate Card, Shopify, Amazon, etc.

Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years experience in accounting roles at US-based companies; CPA preferred
• Prior experience managing external stakeholders at a public accounting firm preferred
• Proficiency and ability to collaborate across Google Sheets, Google Docs, Slack, Zoom
• Ability to switch between individual and collaborative projects quickly and accurately
  
• An ownership mentality, high coachability, bias to action, and unwavering integrity
• Experience with bookkeeping software (e.g. QuickBooks Online) and financial operations software (Ramp, Gusto, Stripe, Mercury, etc.)
