So you will be surrounded by the 'Navy Seals' of their craft that will push you to improve.Are a technologically and data-driven business.Offer competitive salaries and equity.Are at the forefront of tech & finance, redefining personal finance.Believe in autonomy & take the initiative.ResponsibilitiesDefine and track quarterly goals for engineering teams, ensuring delivery against scope, quality, and SLAs.Lead and develop engineers through 1:1s, growth plans, actionable feedback, and performance cycles; drive promotions or exits decisively.Own hiring processes by running structured interviews and closing top candidates.Review high‑risk designs and PRs , uphold architecture principles, and promote debt‑reduction strategies to sustain velocity.Establish and enforce reliability practices including SLAs, incident management, monitoring frameworks, and debt‑burn‑down to strengthen resilience.Facilitate agile rituals , unblock teams, track sprint health metrics, and communicate risks early to Product & Leadership.Champion engineering quality through testing practices, observability (OpenTelemetry, Datadog), SOC‑2 controls, and incident post‑mortems that improve MTTR.Coordinate with Product and Design to balance new features vs. platform work, sequence roadmaps, and deliver concise, data‑backed stakeholder updates.Model company values such as ownership and bias‑for‑action while fostering a learning and growth mindset across the organization.Demonstrated expertise in reliability and performance tuning (logging, monitoring, telemetry).Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills in sprint‑based environments.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical partners.Qualifications3+ years leading squads as Engineering Manager or Tech Lead , including hiring, coaching, and performance management in high‑growth startups or scale‑ups.5+ years building and supporting production systems (backend, frontend, or platform), ideally with our tech stack.Proven ability to make architectural trade‑offs (monolith vs. services, sync vs. async, SQL vs. NoSQL) and drive migrations without business disruption.Fluent in Agile/Lean practices , CI/CD, trunk‑based development, and metrics‑driven improvement (cycle‑time, deployment frequency, change failure rate).Track record of instituting test strategies , code‑quality gates, and security best practices (OWASP, secrets management).Strong communication skills , able to translate technical complexity into business terms, negotiate scope with Product, and inspire engineers with clear, empathetic direction.Talent attraction and team‑scaling experience , leveraging networking and storytelling to close candidates; scaling teams from
