An Engineering Manager is a key driver of innovation and transformation, leading the delivery of complex, high-impact projects that support some of the most dynamic industries and markets around the world. Engineering Managers provide strategic direction and technical guidance to cross-functional teams, empowering them to design and build cutting-edge technology that addresses critical business challenges. Responsibilities:

• Leading a cross functional team of Python, Frontend, Backend/API, and Quality Assurance engineers to successfully deliver on product objectives and milestones.
• Actively contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and planning through development, testing, customer feedback, and iterative improvements.
• Drive continuous enhancements across the entire technology stack, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to effectively expose and deliver data through the web application.
• Design, build, and maintain the backend technology stack, including Python, Airflow, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
• Provide architectural and design leadership, manage technical debt, and foster collaboration and engagement within the product team.
• Partner with other Engineering Managers on cross-team initiatives such as continuous deployment, testing and monitoring improvements, and frontend user logging.

• 12+ years of professional software development experience, including 4+ years in leadership positions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong agile mindset with the ability to iterate quickly, deliver value early, and provide actionable feedback.
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills, combined with excellent communication abilities in both verbal and written English.
• Advanced expertise in Python (3.5+), with a solid understanding of modern backend practices.
• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies and core web development principles.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing public APIs using OpenAPI specifications and service-level contracts.
• Practical experience with map and location libraries (e.g., Mapbox).
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering both technical and professional growth.
• Strong knowledge of software testing at all levels, from unit tests to full end-to-end automation.
