Job Description:

Our Neurosciences and Rare Diseases business unit is at the heart of Ipsen's global strategy, with a strong product offering and a vibrant pipeline. The Business Unit Director Neuroscience & Rare Diseases leads these areas in Colombia, ensuring we achieve our short, medium and long-term sales and profitability targets as well taking responsibility for all activities of the Business Unit, including managing and developing staff and ensuring compliance with internal and external ethical benchmarks.

As a member of the Colombia leadership team, you will manage the full remit of the Neuroscience & Rare Disease business unit, including:

Launch strategy definition

  • Define and manage the local launch strategy & plan ensuring launch excellence
  • Collaborate cross functionally in the pre-launch phases with medical affairs, regulatory affairs and other aligned functions to ensure a robust and compliant Named Patient Solicited Request programme is in place and performing strongly.
  • Propose the local Strategic Plan, budget, forecasts, and operational plans in line with corporate strategy.
  • Propose and implement Roadmaps, KPIs and resource allocation across products, market segments and marketing mix to optimize ROI
  • Facilitate interaction with a Global Franchise as the primary point of contact in the country

Execution & monitoring of the marketing strategy

  • Design, develop and implement a lifecycle strategy and project plan (launch) for the products of the BU in accordance with relevant measurement criteria such as timelines/KPI, budget, etc.
  • Guarantee the turnover's achievement and the respect of the yearly budget.
  • Develop along with the Local Brand Team the 5 year strategic plan of each brand.
  • Monitor sales performance, ROI, CI and market /product knowledge and propose corrective actions when needed.
  • Approve and ensure the implementation of brand operational plans including competitive medical marketing programs.
  • Ensure effective marketing/sales/medical interaction and feedback mechanisms within the Local Brand Team

Environment scanning & analysis

  • Evaluate timely adjustment of the strategy (and business model if relevant) to meet changing market conditions.
  • Ensure market knowledge of Business Unit through regular market intelligence gathering and research.
  • Analyze the latest sales, marketing & management trends & propose new initiatives.
  • Apply creativity, innovation & out-of-box thinking to solve complex business / marketplace issues.

KOL management

  • Build an effective network with the main external interlocutors (KOLs, Scientific societies, communication agency
  • Represent Ipsen in congresses.
  • Regularly visit customers with sales representatives

Organization and People development

  • Propose and lead optimal marketing/sales organization.
  • Ensure recruitment, development, and retention of staff.
  • Energize the team behind common objectives and goals.
  • Ensure cross functional collaboration through brand teams.
  • Foster and develop the action principles within the Business Unit

Sales Force Effectiveness

  • Propose and implement a Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Roadmap & KPIs
  • Define and regularly adapt sales force based on re-evaluation of the business model, potential and sales quotas/key customers, assigning territories and accounts to consultants.
  • Support the design of the incentives scheme for the sales force.
  • Develop and review segmentation/targeting strategy and key account management for optimal ROI.
  • Ensure effectiveness of the sales force with processes and systems including sales objectives, activity tracking, product / disease knowledge, selling and account management skills.

Local management team member

  • Contribute to cross functional collaboration of management team.
  • Participate actively to the life of the affiliate, endorse decisions taken on all subjects.
