About the Role

The
Load Coordinator
is a key member of VOC's Operations Dispatch Team, responsible for overseeing driver scheduling and ensuring operational excellence that meets customer expectations.

Reporting to the
Lead Load Coordinator
,
Local Supervisor
, or
Dispatch Manager
, this role plays a vital part in VOC's mission to deliver reliable, efficient, and compliant logistics solutions.

You'll be directly involved in managing schedules, coordinating with drivers and U.S.-based managers, and ensuring our Transportation Management System (TMS) reflects accurate, actionable data that supports VOC's performance metrics and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage drivers' daily and weekly work shift assignments for all assigned loads.
  • Plan 100% of upcoming weekly schedules and approximately 15% of mid-week or last-minute changes.
  • Coordinate regularly scheduled loads and extra trips requested by customers for assigned locations, terminals, or accounts.
  • Conduct a high volume of phone calls with drivers to ensure clarity and execution of assigned shifts.
  • Maintain schedule accuracy within the TMS to ensure assignments are correct before, during, and after loads.
  • Coordinate with U.S.-based managers to ensure equipment availability, driver performance, and compliance with Payroll, U.S. Labor Laws, and Hours of Service regulations.
  • Communicate challenges that impact scheduling effectiveness or customer satisfaction.
  • Stay aware of customer needs, contractual obligations, and operational changes to adjust shifts as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Dispatch Department to ensure effective scheduling strategies and strong customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in
    Transportation Logistics
    or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English
    – fluent in oral and written communication.
  • Exceptional and proactive communicator capable of decision-making and problem-solving in live, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in analyzing data, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
