We are a specialized freight forwarding company known for our expertise in export logistics and handling reefer (temperature-controlled) cargo. We are poised for an exciting phase of growth and market diversification, aiming to significantly expand our presence in the Canadian import market and develop our Air Freight services across the country. We are looking for an ambitious, results-driven Sales Representative to be a key driver of this expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Aggressively identify, prospect, and secure new import and export customers, with a primary focus on expanding business beyond frozen food commodities.

Strategically target and acquire new clients for our developing Air Freight services, establishing our presence in this sector.

  • Sales Execution: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial cold calling and qualification to presentation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with newly acquired accounts to ensure retention and organic growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Shipping Lines and truckers along with our operations teams to develop competitive, customized logistics solutions for clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and risks in the Canadian logistics landscape.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven, successful sales experience within the freight forwarding or third-party logistics (3PL) industry is required.
  • language: English B2+
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of multi-modal freight forwarding operations (Ocean FCL/LCL, Air Freight, local haulage). Experience working with and selling to the Canadian market is a significant asset/plus.
  • Drive: Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English (Knowledge in French is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP software.
