What We Do

Skylink supports aircraft maintenance worldwide. We work with large commercial, regional, and military aircraft—yes, the same ones you fly on vacation, that transport cargo globally, and that support military missions. Our mission? To simplify the delivery of nose-to-tail aircraft maintenance materials for clients across 30+ countries.

As our Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you'll operate as a high-level individual contributor responsible for keeping our purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain processes running with precision. You'll coordinate vendor relationships, manage RFQs, interpret market trends, support sales teams with accurate data, and ensure materials and information move through the pipeline efficiently and consistently.

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy process-driven work, have a sharp analytical mindset, and take pride in maintaining highly accurate vendor data, RFQs, materials information, tracking systems. and keeping workflows meticulously organized. Job Functions

Quoting & Purchasing

  • Generate, track, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.
  • Source materials and vendors, ensuring best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Support timely procurement by expediting open orders and monitoring delivery schedules.
  • Maintain the preferred vendor system, ensuring current and accurate information.
  • Assist with negotiations to improve vendor terms, cost efficiency, and lead times
  • Collaborate with the Materials and Operations teams to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
  • Follow quality and compliance standards in selecting and managing suppliers.

Data & Project Management

  • Support sales and operations by preparing accurate RFQs and quotes in coordination with vendors.
  • Retrieve and analyze market data to identify optimal sourcing options.
  • Ensure quick, accurate turnaround of customer quotes and vendor responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date information in CRM (AvSight) and Google Sheets for tracking open quotes and material status
  • Manage and organize daily communications in shared inboxes, responding promptly to vendor and internal requests.

Vendor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships aligned with Skylink's core values.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely responses to quotes and orders.
  • Monitor vendor performance and flag issues affecting cost, quality, or delivery.
  • Request and negotiate payment terms (e.g., Net30/60) when applicable.
  • Represent Skylink with professionalism in all communications — email, phone, and platform interactions.

Support Excellence

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose process improvements to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • Support Lean Thinking initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Ensure all open orders are tracked in ERP/CRM systems and performance metrics are met.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and proactive issue resolution.

Key Traits & Skills

  • 3+ years in Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination – Comfortable with quoting, RFQs, sourcing, supplier communication, and purchasing workflows
  • Advanced Analytical Thinking – Able to interpret market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Process Optimization Mindset – Skilled at identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements to improve accuracy and speed.
  • Administrative Operations – Highly organized, reliable, and effective in remote settings.
  • Strong Understanding of CRM/ERP Tools – AvSight, Salesforce, or similar platforms a plus.
  • Resourceful & Solutions-Focused – You always find a way to make things work. You navigate challenges with creativity and calm.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail – Accuracy is your superpower. You have a knack for processes & procedures.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise – You can think outside the box and solve challenges with creativity and ease. RED

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45,000 – $55,000 per year (depending on qualifications and experience)
