Speakable is an AI-powered platform that helps K–12 language teachers give students more opportunities to speak and get instant feedback. Schools and districts across the U.S. use Speakable to improve engagement, save teachers time, and track student progress.
We're a small, fast-growing startup backed by mission-driven investors and led by a team of educators, designers, and engineers. We're serious about helping teachers and students—but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
We're now hiring a Bogotá-based Account Executive to help grow our school and district partnerships.
What You'll DoAs an Account Executive at Speakable, you'll lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close. You'll be supported by a growing team, including our CEO, who currently leads most sales conversations.
Your day-to-day will include:
Outbound Outreach: Identify and reach out to World Language and ESL leaders across U.S. school districts using email, phone, LinkedIn, and video
Discovery Calls: Run 1:1 and small group Google Meet meetings to understand school needs and present how Speakable can help
Product Demos: Walk potential customers through the platform and tailor your pitch based on their goals
Quote Management: Generate quotes using our internal tools, follow up, and answer any questions that come up during purchasing
Pipeline Management: Keep our CRM (HubSpot) up to date and stay on top of your follow-ups
Team Collaboration: Share learnings with the team, give feedback to product and marketing, and help improve the sales process
Speak excellent English and are confident leading Google Meet calls with U.S.-based school leaders
Have 1–3 years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles (bonus if in EdTech or SaaS)
Are a strong communicator—concise, clear, and persuasive
Have a bias toward action and don't wait to be told what to do
Know how to write good outbound emails that get responses
Are organized and consistent with follow-through
Care about education and want to work on something that makes a difference
Make an impact on how students learn and how teachers teach
Join a small, fast-growing team where your work matters every day
Learn directly from the founders and take ownership of your pipeline
Hybrid or remote setup, with team connections in Bogotá and the U.S.
Competitive base salary + commission
Optional travel to the U.S. for team retreats or conferences
