The role:

As a
.NET Tech Lead with AI
, you will design and build backend systems that power AI-driven legal workflows. You will work on services involving
LLMs, OCR, and document automation
, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable software used in production by legal professionals.

This role focuses on
practical AI integration
—building robust systems around AI capabilities rather than experimental research.

We're Looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional backend development experience using
    C# and the .NET ecosystem
  • Strong experience with
    Entity Framework, MS SQL
    , and third-party API integrations
  • Experience working with
    microservices
    , Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in
    Agile environments
    , independently scoping and delivering work
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

AI & Document Processing Experience:

  • Hands-on experience integrating
    LLM APIs
    (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) into production systems
  • Experience with
    OCR tools
    such as Azure Document Intelligence, Google Document AI, or Tesseract
  • Practical understanding of prompt design (zero-shot, few-shot) and techniques to improve output reliability
  • Experience monitoring AI usage, performance, and
    cost observability
  • Ability to reduce hallucinations through structured prompting, model selection, and post-processing

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services for
    AI-powered document extraction, e-filing, and legal workflow automation
  • Develop and maintain
    C#/.NET microservices
    in a cloud-based architecture
  • Integrate with
    LLM APIs, OCR services, and external court systems
    to enable reliable data flows
  • Build and evolve
    MCP servers
    to support AI-driven workflows and integrations
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, partner companies, and engineers to scope, implement, and ship features
  • Improve
    observability
    for AI features (logging, metrics, performance, and cost tracking)
  • Contribute to shared infrastructure and cross-team development initiatives
  • Ensure quality through
    code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Stay current on AI and document-processing technologies and share actionable insights with the team
