The Logistics Coordinator actively participates in a team that handles a variety of logistics functions, which include Origin Consolidation programs, transportation planning and strategy, and expediting of freight from vendor origin to Pricesmart DC/DDC or Club locations. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the Origin Consolidation Manager to ensure execution of shipments from origin, making sure prioritization and KPI's are met. The coordinator will track and trace shipments via the 4PL, 3PL and VOCC platforms to ensure on-time deliveries. Other duties and responsibilities as

Responsibilities

• Must be an Ocean Consolidation Subject Matter Expert to establish SOPs, including assessing vendor requirements, troubleshooting, and writing corrective actions.
• Supervise the submission of consolidation activities at origin to include all processes through TMS systems with full vendor documentation requirements for FTZ shipments across various suppliers.
• Previous experience with international trade law and requirements between foreign markets to make transportation recommendations to ensure freight is moving on time.
• Must know Incoterms 2020.
• Ensure shipments are coordinated based on the established PriceSmart routing guide.
• Responsible for the preparation of various reports for KPI's monthly shipment summary.
• Develop and maintain Logistics policies or procedures for reporting, routing guides, consolidation operations, and product movement to track shipments across different channels.
• Support Origin Consolidation Manager. & VP of Transportation with reporting, equipment allocation, and development of procedures with Origin Consolidation programs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time with attention to detail and minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Education degree and related experience in global logistics; coordinator/ specialist or similar function.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent detail and organizational skills required; Accurate typing ability at fast speeds(40WPM) in high volumes.
