Role Description: We are looking for a dedicated and safety-oriented Health & Safety Supervisor to join our team in Colombia. This position is responsible for helping to ensure full compliance with Colombian occupational health and safety regulations, as established by Decree 1072 of 2015 and Resolution 0312 of 2019, as well as for promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.

The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and mitigating occupational risks; helping to the H&S advisor implementing and maintaining the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST); and ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Risk Identification and Management: Identify emerging and existing workplace risks due to changes in work conditions or new equipment.

Report risks to management and propose preventive measures.

Monitoring and Inspection: Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify new risks, monitor equipment condition, and ensure the proper use of safety equipment.

Employee Training: Organize, develop and conduct training for employees and managers, ensuring the effective application of safety protocols.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, update, and archive occupational safety documents, including prevention and protection plans.

Report on safety activities and improvements.

Coordination and Collaboration: Work with external services for risk assessments and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with the Occupational Safety and Health Committee and propose measures for high-risk areas.

Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

Planning and Prevention: Develop emergency plans and ensure employees are trained. Identify high-risk areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Monitors and updates the prevention and protection plan, evacuation plan, and other required plans.

Professional Development: Stay updated on safety regulations and best practices through courses and events.

Management of the contact lens fitting process: includes scheduling the appointment for the corresponding optometry examination and coordinating the delivery of the contact lenses together with the authorized provider.

Candidate Requirements:

Education: Technologist degree in occupational safety (H&S professional), technical sciences, or related fields.

Professional Experience and Knowledge: Experience in OHS: minimum 2-3 years.

License for OHS is mandatory.

Strong understanding of occupational safety and health protocols and relevant legislation.

Technical Expertise: Excel proficiency.

Ability to assess workplace risks and manage safety equipment.

Physical Requirements: Capable of conducting inspections and ensuring safety across various work environments.

Language Skills: Fluent in English.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with a multinational team and external partners.
