Cost and Reporting Analyst

Perform cost analysis, inventory valuation, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for multiple business segments, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The information generated will support regulatory compliance, internal analysis, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare inventory adjustments and maintain cost master data (creation of orders, cost centers – CeCo, profit centers – CeBe, and account-to-cost-center mappings) to ensure accurate records and prevent issues during closing processes.
  • Execute timely monthly, quarterly, and annual pre-close and close processes for assigned business subsegments, ensuring the availability and quality of financial information.
  • Review, reconcile, and analyze cost and inventory accounts (and other assigned accounts) to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Prepare cost reports, performing variance analysis, trend analysis, and comparisons, generating alerts to mitigate financial risks and support decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve issues and inconsistencies in cost processes in accordance with established policies, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Identify and propose improvements to cost processes through data analysis and an analytical approach, aiming to reduce errors, mitigate financial risks, and enhance operational excellence.
  • Stay up to date with accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP), documenting changes and required transactions in alignment with the R2A process, supporting internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties related to the nature of the role as assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements:

  • Professional degree or final-semester student in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience in cost accounting, finance, or audit-related roles; experience in an audit firm is a plus.
  • English C1
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including financial and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • SAP knowledge and hands-on experience (Desirable).
  • Experience with macros, automation, or advanced data analysis tools (Desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, proactive mindset, and initiative to challenge processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Analista de Costos y Reportes

Realizar el análisis de costos, la valoración de inventarios y la elaboración de reportes de costos mensuales, trimestrales y anuales para múltiples segmentos del negocio, garantizando la precisión, confiabilidad y el cumplimiento de las políticas y procedimientos establecidos. La información generada soportará el cumplimiento normativo, el análisis interno y la toma de decisiones estratégicas.

Responsabilidades clave:

  • Preparar ajustes de inventario y mantener los datos maestros de costos (creación de órdenes, centros de costo – CeCo, centros de beneficio – CeBe y asociaciones de cuentas a centros de costo), garantizando registros precisos y evitando incidencias durante los procesos de cierre.
  • Ejecutar de manera oportuna los procesos de pre-cierre y cierre mensual, trimestral y anual para los subsegmentos de negocio asignados, asegurando la disponibilidad y calidad de la información financiera.
  • Revisar, conciliar y analizar las cuentas de costos e inventarios (y otras asignadas), garantizando la integridad y confiabilidad de la información.
  • Elaborar reportes de costos mediante análisis de variaciones, tendencias y comparaciones, generando alertas que permitan mitigar riesgos financieros y apoyar la toma de decisiones.
  • Identificar y resolver inconsistencias y novedades en los procesos de costos, de acuerdo con las políticas establecidas, asegurando soluciones oportunas y efectivas.
  • Identificar y proponer mejoras en los procesos de costos a través del análisis de datos y un enfoque analítico, con el objetivo de reducir errores, mitigar riesgos financieros y fortalecer la excelencia operativa.
  • Mantenerse actualizado en normas contables (IFRS / US GAAP), documentando los cambios y transacciones requeridas en alineación con el proceso R2A, facilitando auditorías internas y externas.
  • Ejecutar otras funciones relacionadas con la naturaleza del cargo que le sean asignadas por su jefe inmediato.

Requisitos:

  • Profesional o estudiante de último semestre en Contabilidad, Finanzas, Administración de Empresas, Ingeniería Industrial, Economía o carreras afines.
  • Experiencia en contabilidad de costos, finanzas o auditoría; la experiencia en firma de auditoría es un valor agregado.
  • Nivel de inglés C1.
  • Manejo de Excel intermedio a avanzado, incluyendo análisis financiero y de datos.
  • Conocimientos en IFRS y/o US GAAP.
  • Conocimiento y manejo de SAP (Deseable).
  • Experiencia en macros, automatización u otras herramientas avanzadas de análisis de datos (Deseable).
  • Fuertes habilidades analíticas, pensamiento crítico, proactividad e iniciativa para cuestionar procesos y proponer mejoras.
