Are you a B2B sales professional with strong prospecting experience looking for a strategic, globally oriented role in international event organization?

We are seeking a Sales Development Responsible to drive the promotion of our international B2B trade fairs in the Hardware and Tools sector. This role is key for our sales team, responsible for identifying and qualifying potential exhibitors, leading first strategic contacts, and coordinating our global network to support the commercialization of the event.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Prospecting Leadership: Assume direct responsibility for the identification and qualification of new leads and potential exhibitors for our Hardware and Tools trade fairs. You will creatively and effectively utilize various tools (CRM, strategic calls, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, networking, and databases).

  • Key Appointment Generation: Execute high-quality outbound prospecting campaigns to contact, nurture, and qualify prospects, with the responsibility of scheduling qualified sales meetings for the commercial team.

  • Global Network Coordination and Management: Serve as the key commercial contact and liaison for our global network of over 100 Koelnmesse international offices and representatives. This includes:

  • Identifying and establishing relationships with key commercial contacts within the global offices.

  • Consistently tracking their sales activities related to the commercialization of our event.

  • Actively driving and motivating the international sales teams to maximize exhibitor participation from their respective regions.

  • Ensuring alignment in sales strategy and consistent information flow.

  • Pipeline Management and Analysis: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of data in the CRM (e.g., HubSpot), track key metrics (
    KPIs
    ), analyze sales data, and identify trends to refine and optimize the prospecting strategy under your responsibility.

  • Client Relationship Initiation: Begin building strong, professional relationships with potential clients, understanding their business needs, objectives, and preferences.

  • Strategic Support: Actively collaborate with the Project Leader in the development and implementation of action plans to achieve sales targets (outbound fairs) and support the logistical and promotional coordination of participation in external trade fairs.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or similar commercial roles.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field (or demonstrated equivalent experience).

  • Language Proficiency: English level B2 (Intermediate-Advanced) or higher is essential for verbal and written communication with international clients and teams. Spanish proficiency is highly valued.

  • Intercultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders, showing cultural sensitivity and assertiveness to drive results through a global network.

  • Sales Skills: Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills. Ability to present information clearly and professionally.

  • Attitude: Strong passion for the B2B sector, initiative, creative thinking, a strong sense of ownership over tasks, and proactivity for continuous learning.

  • Organization: Highly organized profile, with attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and international coordination projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and digital sales tools.

  • Travel Availability: Flexibility for international travel as required by the commercial strategy.
