China Mobile International Limited (CMI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile Limited, mainly responsible for the operation of China Mobile's international business. In order to provide better services to meet the growing demand in the international telecommunications market, China Mobile established a subsidiary, CMI, in December 2010. Leveraging the strong support by China Mobile, CMI is a trusted partner that provides comprehensive international telecom services and solutions to international enterprisers, carriers and mobile users. Headquartered in Hong Kong, CMI has expanded our footprint in 22 countries and regions.
CMI is looking for a driven and versatile Head of Global Data SIM who is hungry to empower our mobile business in LATAM.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market & Pricing: Maintain deep knowledge of wholesale and retail data pricing across major LATAM destinations (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina). Provide input for pricing strategy and procurement negotiations.
- Partnership Development: Build strong partnerships with local MNOs/MVNOs, as well as competitive integrators and distributors, to lower landing costs and improve competitiveness.
- Distribution Network: Lead the establishment of a sustainable LATAM distribution system, with a priority focus on local integrators, aggregator platforms, and wholesale Travel SIM players. OTA, travel agencies, and retail channels may be supplementary but are not the core focus.
- Business Execution: Secure distribution partnerships and achieve significant revenue growth within 6 months of joining.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in telecommunications, marketing, business, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in telecom/international data/Travel SIM/eSIM, with 5+ years in LATAM distribution or wholesale.
- Strong understanding of pricing benchmarks and market dynamics in LATAM's main outbound tourist markets.
- Recognized presence and personal influence in the GDS/Travel SIM industry in LATAM; able to quickly activate partner networks.
- Hands-on distribution experience, preferably with integrators and wholesale platforms.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
