Senior Network Support Engineer

We are in need of a Senior Network Support Engineer capable of lending their skills to our remote team, ensuring consistent support for a global data network.
The main tasks of your role will involve the design, development, and deployment of LAN/WAN network infrastructure. Extensive background in troubleshooting network problems, setting up various network devices and services (including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.), and adhering to established configuration and change management policies will be critically important. RESPONSIBILITIES
- 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues
- Maintenance of all monitoring and reporting systems
- Creation and upkeep of documentation related to all systems developed/deployed
- Execution of administrative tasks tied to time entry and status reporting
- Configuration and installation of various network devices and services (for example, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Progressive monitoring of performance to guarantee system availability and reliability
- Oversight of system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Adherence to established configuration and change management policies
- Implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
- Liaison with vendors and other IT staff for problem resolution
- Provision of technical training for internal resources

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Three-year minimum experience in network support and administration, ideally in a global context
- Mandatory CCNP Certification and must possess a BA/B.S. Degree
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN network infrastructure design, development, and deployment
- Proven record in configuring/installing various network devices and services (for examples, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Skill in troubleshooting network issues and carrying out network maintenance and system upgrades
- Capability in monitoring performance to assure system availability and reliability
- Familiarity with established configuration and change management policies
- Proficiency in selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures
- Fluent spoken and written English for effective team and stakeholder communication
- Ability to work in a 24x7 availability environment

NICE TO HAVE
- SDWAN experience, particularly with Silver Peak
- Familiarity with Next Gen Firewalls, Cisco Firepower is preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting routing loops
- Capability to configure/troubleshoot wireless, preference for Cisco WLC
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting routing protocols - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
