**The Position**

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Network administrator. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance, and your primary responsibility will be to provide efficient and effective support while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.

**Responsibilities**
- Configure SNMP for monitoring/alerting.
- Configure interface VLAN/SVI/trunks.
- Respond to and troubleshoot total/partial network outages, open tickets with ISPs and 3rd party vendors, push for resolution.
- Work with internal team members and 3rd party vendors to provide network support for new/existing client technology (providing static IP addresses, creating dedicated VLANS, configuring secure network access, etc.).
- Assist with network inventory management, including purchasing new hardware/licenses, tracking expiring licensing and obtaining renewal pricing, among others.
- Support with ISP management (obtaining pricing for internet contract renewals, new site locations, etc.)

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
- CCNA certification or equivalent level of knowledge (role for 5 year).
- Ability to work with Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst, HPE, Aruba, SonicWall, Fortinet, Unifi, and other firewall switch, and access point vendors.
- Ability to configure port forwarding, NAT, and both Layer3/Layer7 firewalls rules.
- Ability to configure IPSEC VPN tunnels.
- Ability to configure AnyConnect and SonicWall client VPN.
- Ability to review new firewall and switch configurations and quickly understand/notate L3 interfaces, routing, firewall, NAT, VPN, etc.
- Ability to configure and deploy new network hardware based on established templates and standards.
- Ability to accurately diagram a network.
- Understanding of Layer 2 vs. Layer 3 networking concepts.
- Network Configuration: Ability to configure routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Troubleshooting: Proficiency in identifying and resolving network issues efficiently.
- Understanding of Protocols: Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and others.
- Security: Awareness of network security principles and best practices.
- Subnetting: Skill in dividing and organizing IP address spaces.
- WAN and LAN Technologies: Familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) technologies.
- Routing and Switching: Competence in routing and switching concepts and configurations.
- Wireless Networking: Understanding of wireless networking standards and configurations.
- Network Monitoring: Ability to use network monitoring tools to assess and optimize network performance.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication to collaborate with team members and convey technical information to non-technical users.
