Customer Engineer, Data Analytics, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with traditional Analytic Warehouse solutions and Big Data technologies.
- Experience in implementing analytics systems architecture, including cloud computing.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in technical sales or professional consulting in the fields of cloud computing, data, information lifecycle management, and Big Data.
- Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch or real-time event processing, and estimated time to launch workflows solutions which include architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design, and query optimization of scalable/distributed systems.
- Experience in writing code with development languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, Scala, R, or Go.
- Knowledge and understanding of Linux.
- Understanding of Domain Name System, Transmission Control Protocol, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Load Balancing, VPN, and Virtual Private Cloud.

In this role, you will answer questions about technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to database migration and data back ends.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support teams in pursuit of business opportunities and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
- Identify business/technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect customer solutions to meet gathered requirements.
- Manage technical projects, support discussion responses, product/solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinate technical resources.
- Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard/slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and request for information response documents.
- Travel as needed for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
