**Job Description**:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop EH&S leadership strategies that drives the contractors compliance of all regulatory requirements, continuous improvement of the Engineering EH&S culture, building capabilities, and deploying best practices in major projects from the engineering phase, project execution up to the commissioning to the plant operations.

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or related
- Specialization in Safety, Environment and Occupational Health
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety advisory services OHSAS 18001 : 2007
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools
- Minimum 6 years of experience in similar jobs

**Additional Requirements**:

- SAP knowledge desired
- English language - Advanced
- Portuguese - Preferred
- 50% Availability for international travels

Additional Information

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor emerging EH&S legislation in countries where O-I has operations to communicate impact and assure timely compliance as required for all engineering and asset requirements.
- Give advice, norm, supervise, plan preventive actions, and include all related topics to environmental, health and safety into all engineering projects.
- Drive the EH&S audit guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Ensure there is an active GETC Safety Committee that is managed by local leadership.
- Ensure the implementation, administration and reporting results of EH&S management programs within the engineering organization.
- Participate in scoping activities to ensure the equipment defined complies with both the local legislative requirements and OI EHS defined rules.
- Ensure that all new equipment installed by regional engineering has a management of change process.
- Leadership in partnership with project management to ensure the local EHS representative assigned to project construction is actively leading EHS activities to OI EHS expectations.
- Ensure the measuring, auditing and evaluation of the effectiveness of hazard controls, hazard control programs to ensure compliance with O-I standards during OI engineering construction.
- Identify and assess all potencial safety risk with the execution Safety Supervisor in each Project.
- Oversight of all EHS reports generated through engineering for both lead and lag indicators.
- Verify that all safety equipments to be purchased in each Engineering Project comply with the country legal norms and O-I corporative management system of EHS.
- Coach and mentoring of the regional engineering organization to incorporate safety methodologies on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure the connection between supply chain and engineering in order to assure best total cost for safety and environmental equipment required.Others related functions.
