We are looking for a Sr. Specialist Global Safety & Environment, reporting to the Manager Safety & Environment of LATAM, the Sr. Specialist is responsible for managing the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs for Commercial Operations (Fleet Safety, Offices and Warehouses) including both field sales and office facilities.
Also, the Sr. Specialist is responsible for all applicable EHS regulations in Colombia. The Sr. Specialist must be fulfilled and licensed to design, implement, and execute the EHS management system in Colombia, is the person to lead the design, implementation, and execution of the System, in accordance with the established in Decree 1072 of 2015 and Resolution 0312 of 2019.
This role will partner with site leadership and facilities to integrate effective and efficient EHS programs in alignment with business goals and values. Monitors and reports on EHS performance and develops strategies for continuous improvement and sustainable compliance to governing regulations and programs.

- Comply with all applicable EHS laws, regulations, permits, the Company’s EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines and provide safe, and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and guests. Implement an effective EHS corporate program provide ongoing employee training and identify best practices to promote EHS knowledge and awareness.
- Monitors and reports on EHS performance, ensuring sustainable compliance with Colombian regulations and corporate programs. Develops strategies for continuous improvement, while also ensuring timely completion of all required regulatory submissions and notifications to maintain compliance with federal/country, state, and EHS requirements. Additionally, ensures prompt reporting of accidents, illnesses, or environmental events to both the enforcing authorities in Colombia and in accordance with reporting guidelines.
- Acts as a single point of contact for business stakeholders in assigned areas of responsibilities. Provides coaching and support to operational leaders in meeting their responsibilities under the corporate EHS programs and Colombian EHS management system.
- Conducts regular assessments and data analytics to evaluate the performance of both corporate and Colombian EHS programs. Takes prompt corrective actions to address areas in need of improvement, escalating concerns through management as required. Also responsible for scheduling and participating in internal and external audits related to the Occupational Health and Safety management system.
- Provides clear and concise EHS performance reports to operational leaders that are actionable and support implementation of corporate EHS programs and Colombian EHS management system.
- Collaborates with and provides guidance to local leadership and facilities management to drive consistency into the implementation of corporate EHS programs and Colombian EHS management system across Commercial Operations.
- Manages the assigned budget within the established limits and quickly reports, adjusts, and resolves variances.
- Develops and implements approaches to protect the safety of employees and to continuously reduce EHS events. Ensure proper investigation of EHS events through the root cause and establishes the required preventative measures.
- Partner with Fleet Management, Service Providers, Human Resources, and site leaders to ensure compliance with Global Motor Vehicle Safety program and Colombia Vehicle safety program. Provide expert advice and coordinate local technical support.
- Ensure that adequate records are maintained to demonstrate compliance with EHS local and corporate programs and Colombian EHS management system.
- Develop and implement country-specific injury prevention campaigns based on trending analysis.
- Complete working visits to Commercial sites as needed. Participate in comprehensive building inspection of Commercial sites supported.
- Partner with in-country Communication teams to develop and implement effective communication strategy. Including information resulting from EHS related events to office occupants and field sales using available communication tools (Newsletter, Sync, etc.)
- Develop and execute Epidemiological Surveillance Programs aligned with company risks.
- Request management to conduct entry, periodic, and retirement medical examinations for workers.
- Attend visits from the Occupational Risk Administrator (ARL) and surveillance entities for Occupational Health and Safety Management System reviews.
