**Position Summary**:

**Work Model**:
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor, analyze and interpret orphan drugs and high-cost therapies landscape and changes at legislative policy level and important trends in the reimbursement environment and recommend proactive strategies to adapt to changing environment.
- Anticipate impact of environmental factors on payer segments (legislative, economic, clinical, advocacy) to develop proactive tools and resources addressing payer's needs.
- Build and execute the market access and government affairs plan and strategies for Ultragenyx products in Country to support early and broad access to innovative therapies for rare diseases.
- Identify key stakeholders and main reimbursement decision makers of different institutions and leverage relationships with them.
- Work with external market access consultants to develop dossiers, budget impact analysis, pharmacoeconomic evaluations, innovative market access models, systematic literature reviews, and any other need. Present clinical and economic value messages to payers and effectively lead product negotiations.
- Develop pricing strategies for Ultragenyx products for Colombia and Andean countries in the evolving pricing environment to maximize patients access and company sustainability.
- Collaborate with PSP, key patients' advocacy umbrella groups and field staff to identify systematic barriers to access and implement innovative solutions to resolve access issues.
- Lead relationships with key industry groups and associations in partnership with GM and Identify routes to strengthening relationships from a government affairs perspective as well as legislative advocacy initiatives.
- Lead adherence follow-up and management plan
**Requirements**:
- Business Administration, Economic or life sciences professional background
- 5 years of experience in country market access role, in high-cost specialty therapeutic areas. Orphan drug experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of the local healthcare system (policies, payers, stakeholders, health operators, social security system, MIPRES)
- Ideally, experience in negotiating with payers in Colombia.
- Fluency in English
- Cultural fit, understanding the uniqueness of Ultragenyx approach to market access.
- Travel: approximate 20%
