**Job Description**:**This key role will strategically lead the sales team for the Viral Hepatitis franchise. Reporting to the Business Unit Director. The Sales Associate Director will develop and execute market expansion strategy & tactics for HCV & HBV in related-High Risk Populations (HRP) and channels/accounts: addiction centers, Blood Banks, Migration Centers, Prisions.**

**Essential Duties and Job Functions**
**The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to**:

- **Exhibit excellent understanding of the Viral Hepatitis market dynamics, competitor environment and stakeholders and strong external network in the health ecosystem**
- **Ensure his/her team understanding of the heatmap of HCV elimination: Rehab/drug counselling centers, blood banks and HCV treating physicians and other sites of care for vulnerable patients (especially for PWIDs, migrants, blood banks and prisoners).**
- **He/she will provide strong leadership skills with an ability to set a lead change, and to lead and mentor others.**
- **This role is responsible for overseeing the hiring and management of the field sales force, including establishment of the incentive compensation program, territory sizing and alignment, sales force effectiveness, sales training and personnel development.**
- **Execute analysis of the degree of engagement for HCV elimination/ micro elimination activities and evaluation of opportunities.**
- **Develop and implement specific action plans for elimination / micro-elimination initiatives**
- **Foster sustainable and reliable partnerships with key stakeholders for HCV elimination to translate ideas into feasible and efficient elimination initiatives.**
- **Transport sense of urgency to plan and roll-out local elimination strategies and support initiatives with thorough project management skills.**
- **Develop, implement, and manage the individual sales goals for each region and territory**
- **Ensure smooth, collaborative efforts in both day to day and long-term business execution with key internal stakeholders: Medical Affairs, Marketing, PSP, Market Access and other colleagues to look at the development and implementation of HCV Elimination/Micro elimination plans.**
- **Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning process**
- **Coach, mentor, educate and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual skills and elevate overall team performance**
- **At the executive-level ensures that field sales representatives are well-versed in product knowledge, sales skills, market conditions, strategy and tactics.**
- **Ensure the Sales team works in alignment with local Colombian laws, Company policies and Gilead Values.**

**Competencies / Skills / Experience**:

- **Extensive relevant experience in a similar role in a biotech/pharma fast-paced environment. Desirable Viral Hepatitis TA**
- **Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance**
- **Strong knowledge of payers and providers in the Colombian system**
- **Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or human related areas**
