The Team and Job Summary

We’re in search of a Senior Azure Engineer who can seamlessly mesh tech know-how with business acumen to help us navigate all our cloud computing needs, including Azure design, maintenance, support, planning, and everything in between. The Senior Azure Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers (primarily Azure and limited on-premises), and networks. The Senior Azure Engineer will support the deployment and release of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, test and maintain servers, networks, operating systems, and related utilities and monitoring systems in Azure. The Senior Azure Engineer must be fluent in English and be able to work collaboratively with a global team.

Job Responsibilities
- Engineer complex Azure cloud infrastructures for internal environments.
- Manage, maintain, monitor, and support our Azure environment to resolve critical and complex technical issues, leveraging your deep technical and product expertise in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to preemptively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop, document, and present training for the Infrastructure Engineering team.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure Engineering team to not only support but deliver solutions and new capabilities to business stakeholders.
- Participate in recruiting, mentoring, and ramping up of new Cloud Engineers.
- Act as a technical escalation point within the team.
- Participate in case triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and develop efficient solutions.
- Consistently share best practices with team members and help document procedures and create knowledge base articles to solve/workaround current issues. Operational Excellence: Work with leadership on process improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives.
- Work across teams to ensure IT system upgrades, deployments and maintenance are conducted with mínimal impact to the operation.
- Participate in short-term and long-term planning efforts with management.
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to facilitate company excellence.
- Monitor production, outputs, and services to ensure SLAs and other metrics are met.

Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with Azure infrastructure including Compute, Storage, and Networking.
- Data Platforms: SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory.
- Microsoft Certifications in the following areas: Azure Administrator, Microsoft365 Fundamentals, Teams Administrator Associate.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows, with demonstrated hands-on experience.
- Proficient in PowerShell.
- Strong network, computing, and system management skills.
- Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- 10+ years of experience in general technology infrastructure management.
- 5+ years with Azure.Experience in planning and assisting in the ongoing establishment and movement of systems and technologies from on-premises to Azure and the public cloud.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in any of the following areas:

- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Microsoft365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
- Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700)
- M365 Enterprise Admin (MS-100/101)

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- This position has regular office hours, but you must be able to be on call or work weekends or nights as needed.
