What you will do

As a Senior Data Engineer at Blankfactor, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines using Data Bricks in a cloud-native Azure environment. Your proficiency with Data Bricks and Azure technologies will be essential in shaping our data architecture and driving insights to enhance our business processes.

**Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement data pipelines using Data Bricks for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective schema designs within Data Bricks.- Implement end-to-end data pipelines in a cloud-native Azure environment, utilizing tools like Azure Data Factory for data ingest.-
- Work closely with the Data Science team to enable seamless integration of data for advanced analytics and modeling.- Optimize data workflows to ensure data quality, consistency, and timely delivery of insights to stakeholders.- Leverage your general Azure proficiency to deploy and manage data pipelines and solutions in the Azure ecosystem.- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering skill development.- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Data Bricks, Azure, and data engineering in general.

Requirements and technical skills- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on implementing end-to-end pipelines using Data Bricks.- Proficiency with Data Bricks, including schema design for different data layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold), data ingest, and transformation.- Demonstrated experience in working within a cloud-native Azure environment, utilizing tools like Azure Data Factory for data integration.-
- General proficiency in Azure services, with the ability to deploy and manage data solutions within the Azure ecosystem.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data engineering challenges.- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Leadership experience or a willingness to mentor and guide junior team members is a plus.- Certifications in Data Bricks, Azure, or related areas are advantageous.
