As a Latin America Oncology Commercial Director you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing practice and patients’ lives.

**This role can be located in one of AstraZeneca’s many Latin America offices in Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Columbia, Argentina or Chile.**

The Latin America (LATAM) area has an ambitious growth plan over the next three years, aiming for double-digit growth each year across our five markets and clusters: Brazil, Mexico, South Cone Cluster (including Argentina and Chile), Andean Cluster (including Colombia, Peru and Ecuador) and CAMCAR Cluster (including Costa Rica and Panama).

Core to this plan is both achieving success in our ongoing Oncology launches and maximizing the potential of our existing Oncology portfolio. In 2021 our growth rate of 32% year to date, and +65% in Onco growth, makes us the fastest growing Oncology area in International.

The position of Latin America Oncology Commercial Director plays a pivotal role in our journey, driving a strategic agenda for LATAM that maximises our performance and potential in Oncology. The role reports to Sylvia Varela, AVP Latin America and forms part of the LATAM Leadership Team.

**What you’ll do**
- Establish and steer the LatAm Oncology strategy in collaboration with AVP, in-market and above-market colleagues; Partner with in-market Oncology teams to develop best-in-class pre-launch and launch plans
- Support and influence in-market launch delivery, securing readiness against launch KPIs and accelerating the speed and quality of our Oncology launches
- Collaborate with colleagues in Medical and Market Access, defining and delivering cross-functional activities that shape policy, increase patient access and position AZ’s scientific leadership
- Maximise performance and potential of our launched portfolio, establishing performance monitoring frameworks and partnering with in-market Oncology teams to drive performance outcomes
- Continuously scan our internal portfolio and external market to identify new business opportunities that will drive our Oncology strategy and growth
- Develop LATAM Oncology TA network, ensuring best practice sharing and ongoing capability build is in place for the area; Build strong and effective relationships with the International Oncology and OBU teams, supporting strategic alignment across LATAM and influencing global / regional strategies and priorities
- Act as a member of the LATAM LT, working with the AVP and LT peers to lead the LATAM business, drive the Growth Through Innovation strategy and role model enterprise leadership behaviours

**Essential for the role**
- Recent and extensive in-market Oncology experience and expertise, with an in-depth knowledge of relevant patient journeys
- Experience of pre-launch and launch management, including leading cross-functional launch teams
- Proven marketing, sales and commercial leadership experience, resulting in broad commercial acumen and drive for performance
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities with proven ability to influence without authority
- Experience gained in one or more Latin American markets (strongly preferred) or similarly dynamic, fast-paced emerging market environment
- Fluency in English, plus either fluency in Spanish _or_ fluency in Portuguese with working Spanish ability

**Desired for the role**
- Strong P&L record, ideally gained through Business Unit Director experience
- Robust leadership experience, with extensive line and / or project management experience
- Enterprise mindset, developed through blend of in-market and above-market experience
