Purpose Leads and oversees Learning Operations / GHR Operations in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Leads the Learning Operations team ensuring all Learning Management System (LMS) activities and learning administration processes are delivered in alignment with Bank’s policies, standards and established service level agreements (SLA’s). Oversees the implementation of digital and non‑digital learning programs in collaboration with Learning COE and Learning teams in Business and in Countries, ensuring Assignment Profile rules in the LMS target the required audience. Acts as a consultant to Learning COE to provide guidance on best approach to deliver Learning solutions to target audience considering both LMS capabilities and employee experience. Resolves complex escalated inquiries and/or issues impacting the delivery of learning programs in the LMS. Contributes to the development and maintenance of LMS governance and publishing standards. Works closely with Learning Systems Lead and collaborates with key stakeholders to implement solutions to enhance processes, improve learning delivery and learning technology. Ensures Case Management System “Pega” inquiries are responded accurately and within established SLAs leveraging data to develop strategies to keep the queue up to date. Creates reports to determine workload volumes to ensure team’s capacity to meet Learningteam’s demands. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions. Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls. Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vision, values, business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.
