About this Role The Investment Manager for Social Enterprises is a key role within Kiva’s Impact Investments team, primarily focused on sourcing, developing, and managing debt investments in high-impact social enterprises. The position requires expertise in financial analysis, due diligence, and relationship management to identify promising investment opportunities, particularly in Latin America. The role demands strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a deep commitment to social impact. Reporting to the Social Enterprise’s Investment Director, the successful candidate will be based in Bogotá, Colombia, and must have the ability to navigate diverse cultural and geographical contexts. The position involves working closely with Kiva’s partners, monitoring investments, and representing Kiva at industry events to enhance its strategic positioning and impact. Responsibilities Develop strong relationships with potential and existing investees. Monitor assigned investments for risk, financial performance, and compliance. Identify and recruit new high-impact social enterprise partners. Conduct due diligence of potential investments. Participate in negotiations on investment terms and conditions. Assist in onboarding new investees and communicate Kiva policies. Represent Kiva at relevant conferences and build relationships with other organizations. Provide expert guidance on local market conditions. Support drafting and review of transaction documentation. Contribute to process improvements and support program growth. Requirements Over 5 years of work experience in investment management, finance, or a related role. Technical experience with lending/investing in private companies. Full professional fluency in English and Spanish; French fluency is a plus. Experience investing in Latin America. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus. Willingness to travel 20% of the time. Ability to work effectively across varying time zones and remotely. Strong communication and networking skills.
