About this Role Kiva’s Impact Investments team works with investees globally, engaging with lending partners and those accepting debt financing managed by Kiva’s investment arm, Kiva Capital Management. This role, based in Bogotá, Colombia, is pivotal in scaling Kiva’s impact by sourcing, developing, and managing debt investments in high-impact social enterprises, particularly in Latin America. The Investment Manager is tasked with identifying promising businesses, carrying out rigorous due diligence, and fostering trust-based relationships to further Kiva’s mission. The role demands not only regional expertise but also the capacity to operate across diverse geographical contexts and requires collaboration on a global scale. Additional responsibilities include supporting program development, onboarding investees, and engaging with the social enterprise ecosystem. Responsibilities Develop strong relationships with potential existing investees, demonstrating empathy and diplomacy. Monitor assigned investments regarding risk, financial and social performance, and compliance with Kiva policies. Source and recruit new social enterprise partners aligned with Kiva’s mission. Conduct desk and on-site due diligence to assess potential investments. Participate in negotiations on investment terms to maximize impact at scale. Assist in onboarding new investees and communicate Kiva policies. Represent Kiva in the impact investing ecosystem, contributing insights to inform strategy. Provide expertise on local market conditions in Kiva’s key markets. Support drafting and reviewing transaction documentation. Contribute to operational improvements and support the program’s growth. Requirements Technical experience in lending/investing, including financial analysis and portfolio monitoring. 5+ years of experience in Investment Management, Finance, or related fields. Full professional fluency in English and Spanish; French is a plus. Experience investing in Latin America. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus. Flexibility to work across time zones and travel up to 20%. Strong communication skills across diverse cultures. Networking and relationship management skills.
