Budget and Contract Officer – Finance, Contracts and Audit Section The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Colombia, in Bogotá, invites applications for the position of Budget and Contract Officer in the Finance, Contracts and Audit Section. Background The EU is a partnership of 27 European countries. The Delegation works in coordination with EU member state embassies and represents the EU in Colombia, dealing with the Colombian government on matters within the EU’s remit. Main responsibilities Management of tender and call for proposals procedures. Preparation and checking of contracts and amendments. Support to project managers on procedural and contractual issues. Monitoring of project implementation from a legal/financial perspective. Management of payment procedures. Management of external audits. Archiving of financial and contractual documents. Any other ad hoc tasks relating to the activities of the Section and the Delegation. Contract and compensation A two‑year contract with possibility of extension for an additional two years, after which it may become indefinite. Base salary starts at COP , plus a competitive benefits package (personal leave days, public holidays, health insurance, retirement savings plan). Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, audit, law or equivalent. Minimum five years of experience in similar positions with expertise in accounting, contractual and audit techniques. Fluency in English (minimum C1) and Spanish (minimum C2). Excellent knowledge of Windows, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. Right to reside and work in Colombia. Additional assets / selection criteria Experience in an international environment and/or with internationally funded projects. Working knowledge of French (minimum B2). Knowledge of accounting software, SAP, document management systems, AI. High initiative, responsibility, flexibility, the ability to work under pressure, teamwork, rigor and order.
