We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Virtual Professional. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers and ensuring timely payments.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and effective support to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Invoice Management: Prepare and validate final charges, send out invoices and credit memos, and ensure accurate and timely entry of new customer data.
- Cash Application and Collections: Process payments, post cash receipts, and accurately apply payments to customer accounts based on company procedures.
- Account Reconciliation: Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities, and perform regular cross-system reconciliations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Review AR aging reports regularly to ensure compliance, identify and provide recommendations for poorly performing customers, and assist with the month-end closing process.
- Process Improvement: Develop and maintain accounts receivable processes, procedures, and policy documents, and continuously evaluate current policies and recommend improvements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: Three to five years' experience in a high-volume, fast-paced accounts receivable role or environment.
- Skills: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations; excellent written and oral communication abilities; superior interpersonal skills; strong leadership skills; and advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Remote Work: 100% remote work arrangement.
- Bilingual Position: Bilingual position with opportunities to work with diverse customers and teams.
