Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical Level 2 team responsible for incident resolution and cloud operations.
  • Ensure adherence to incident response protocols as per operational guidelines.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Deploy and manage cloud monitoring solutions to proactively detect and resolve potential issues.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the cloud operations team.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational procedures, incident logs, and other essential records.
  • Ensure that all documentation is current and easily accessible to team members.
  • Integrate cloud operations with broader IT Service Management (ITSM) processes for enhanced service delivery.
  • Prioritize and address issues based on their impact on users and critical business operations.
  • Ensure the team provides prompt and accurate support daily, monitoring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting any risks to meeting these standards.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Managers across product lines to facilitate effective escalation processes and monitor the status of escalations.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to relevant stakeholders, ensuring it is communicated effectively to the team.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate new team members, supporting their integration and performance during the onboarding phase.
  • Work with management to address the professional development needs of the team, ensuring a fulfilling work environment.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of processes and create knowledge repositories.
  • Manage shift schedules to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, and ITIL frameworks are advantageous.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in cloud operations.
  • Technical expertise in managing both public and private cloud environments.
  • Experience in operations management, including multi-cloud environments and IT services.
  • Proven track record in leading incident response teams and managing critical incidents to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Ability to implement improvements in cloud operations processes and technologies.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for incident response and resolution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of customer empathy.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a cloud operations or technical support team.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, along with on-premise support.
  • Strong incident response and management skills, with the capability to lead teams during critical situations.
  • Proficiency in managing alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks, particularly in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and manage teams within the cloud operations environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills for maintaining operational records and incident reports.
  • Ability to analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement within reported alerts.
  • Understanding of ITSM processes and their integration with cloud operations for efficient service delivery.
