Position Overview:

The Senior Business Process Enhancement Expert is an integral member of the Operational Excellence & Execution (OEE) team, which operates under the Employee Enablement Solutions (EES) umbrella within Corporate IT (CIT). This group is dedicated to addressing the technological requirements of Visa personnel.


This team collaborates with technology and various business partners to establish a center of excellence aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and delivering an outstanding user experience. We are committed to empowering our business users and facilitating their success. Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence & Execution, this role will engage with diverse teams across the Corporate IT Integration Management Office landscape to identify and implement process efficiencies. This includes contributing to the seamless integration of acquired entities' data and end users by promoting process automation, enhancement, and standardization across all functional areas and throughout all project lifecycle stages.


This position necessitates extensive experience in Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies, focusing on analyzing and creating process flows within cross-functional programs. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, essential for influencing teams to achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that end users can efficiently and effectively fulfill their responsibilities within the Visa ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) and other process improvement methodologies to spearhead transformation and automation through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships across the Corporate IT Integration Management Office and with stakeholders through demonstrated expertise and proactive leadership.
  • Prepare and present status updates and presentations to internal stakeholders and the executive leadership team.
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and acquired entities to define strategy, validate requirements, and propose changes to business processes and operating models.
  • Develop procedures for process improvement and monitor performance and adoption across the organization.
  • Formulate strategic objectives and appropriate key performance indicators for initiatives.
  • Analyze existing process standards and metrics to propose solutions for enhancements, maintaining documentation on process improvements.
  • Perform data gathering, root cause analysis, demand analysis, and performance trending to develop necessary process control modifications.
  • Document dependencies between new and existing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a change agent to transition business stakeholders to new operational methodologies.
  • Provide education and training on updates and improvements to guidelines, processes, and procedures for stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to and advocate for global Lean Six Sigma initiatives and foster a Lean Six Sigma culture.
  • Identify potential obstacles and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Serve as a catalyst for ongoing business process improvement, transformation, and innovation.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certification (Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement utilizing LSS methodologies.
  • Proven ability to produce detailed process flow maps, document key metrics, and conduct cost/benefit analyses.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of Agile SaFe and/or ITIL 4.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in integrating data and end users into new environments.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply technical concepts to process innovation and business efficiency.
  • Experience in developing Target Operating Models (TOM) from vision and strategy to future state design.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex issues and develop solutions.
  • Advanced client management skills, partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders on projects.
  • Proven project management skills to frame projects and establish governance.
  • Change management skills to implement and sustain changes effectively.
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence various business functions to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for executive-level interactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, Visio, Power BI, Minitab, and other analytical tools.

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel. The role will be performed in an office setting, requiring the incumbent to engage in standard office activities.
