The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a highly skilled Protection Specialist/Analyst to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our regional office, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the overall protective environment in the region for persons of concern.
Main Responsibilities- Harmonize Protection Monitoring tools for humanitarian organizations operating in at least 9 countries in Latin America.
- Provide technical trainings and capacity building on Protection Information Management (PIM) and the use of harmonized Protection Monitoring tools to field staff.
- Lead the Protection analysis process to produce evidence-based regional and country Protection Analyses.
- Ensure systematic documentation and reporting of capacity building and training results.
- Provide field accompaniment to Protection Monitoring teams as required.
- Liaise with the Information Management team as needed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in protection humanitarian projects at national and/or international level.
- Experience in working in humanitarian protection sector in complex crisis situations.
- Field experience in protection programming, especially in protection monitoring.
- Prior experience with Protection Information Management (PIM) for humanitarian organizations.
- Experience in delivering protection training using an adult learning approach.
- Full proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Proven experience in Protection Monitoring.
- Knowledge of protection analysis and familiarity with the GPC's PAF.
- Proven experience leading capacity building initiatives related to humanitarian protection.
- Ability to manage and interpret large quantitative and qualitative data sets.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Advanced university degree in Law, Refugee Law, Political Sciences, Human Rights, or other relevant fields.
Contract Information10-month contract renewable depending on performance and funding for an additional 12 months.
