The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a highly skilled Protection Specialist/Analyst and Capacity Building professional to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our regional office, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our humanitarian response to mitigate protection risks associated with mixed migration flows and displacement situations in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Protection Manager and colleagues to design and develop effective protection and legal aid analysis.
- Provide direct technical support to our partner in Peru, including capacity building and follow-up activities as required.
- Develop tailored protection training curricula for national NGOs in the region, focusing on legal aid.
- Ensure systematic documentation and reporting of technical support and capacity building results.
- Coordinate with key protection stakeholders at the regional and national level as required.
- Document best practices and provide field accompaniment to our partner in Peru, as needed.
- Minimum of three years' experience in working on protection and legal aid humanitarian projects at national and/or international level.
- Excellent understanding of International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Refugee Law.
- Experience in working in humanitarian protection sector in complex crisis situations.
- Field experience in general protection and legal aid programming for at least two years.
- Prior experience with Protection Information Management (PIM) for humanitarian organizations.
- Prepaid medicine benefit for the employee and their family members.
- 15 days paid leave per year.
- Fixed-term contract according to Colombian labor law.
