About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Country Director to lead our program in Colombia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our country strategy, building strong partnerships, and ensuring the effective delivery of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the country strategy, aligning with our global strategy and local context.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, local and international NGOs, and donors.
  • Represent our organization in coordination platforms, meetings, and events.
  • Oversee security management, ensuring continuous context monitoring, risk analysis, and incident management.
  • Ensure effective HR, Logistics, Supply, and Finance management, in accordance with local laws, our policies, and donor guidelines.
  • Foster and develop effective leadership within the country office, promoting staff well-being and participation in decision-making.
  • Promote and uphold our Integrity Framework and 'Do No Harm' principles, ensuring awareness and respect among our staff and partners.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in a humanitarian context, with 8 years in a senior management position.
  • Experience in security management and context analysis.
  • Experience in Latin America and preferably Colombia.
  • Relevant academic background, such as psychology, pedagogy, community development, social sciences, or international relations.
  • Experience in working with local partners and in our field of expertise.
  • Experience in financial management, including management of multiple grants.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian innovation and scaling initiatives and stakeholders is a plus.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, coupled with problem-solving and a can-do attitude.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Proven affinity with our mandate.
