About the Role: The Clinical Research Physician (CRP) - Medical Affairs position plays an integral part in strategic planning for launch and commercialization activities, ensuring patients' needs are met and their experience with the company is enhanced. This role works closely with various teams, including Development, Therapeutic Area Program Phase, Early Phase/Clinical Pharmacology, and Translational Medicine, in new product development activities throughout the entire spectrum of drug development and clinical trial phases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical support to all aspects of the local business, enhancing customers' experience interacting with the company.
  • Participate in developing the patient journey, knowledge journey, segmentation, unmet need analysis for creating a comprehensive annual medical plan reflecting such analysis and aligning with product strategy.
  • Propose and conduct scientific activities anchoring the unmet needs of the medical scientific community.
  • Support regulatory affairs and interactions with government agencies.
  • Lead in local scientific data dissemination and oversee the development of scientific content for educational programs.
  • Support business-to-business and business-to-government activities as a medical expert.
  • Contribute actively to strategic planning for currently marketed brands.
  • Support training of sales representatives and other medical representatives.
  • Take a leadership role in defining the Patient Journey and corresponding Moments of Truth based on medical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor degree.
  • Must be board eligible or certified in appropriate specialty/subspecialty or have completed comparable post-medical school clinical training relevant to the country of hiring.
  • Must have completed education and training at a medical school meeting Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) requirements.
  • Knowledge of drug development process relevant to the country/region preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance scientific priorities with business priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written communication.
