Job SummaryThe Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of customers' credit limits and outstanding receivables are resolved while working with minimal supervision. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee analysis on customer credit worthiness within established guidelines to make recommendations regarding extension of credit and credit amounts.
- Assist in the establishment and implementation of credit and collections policies to maximize sales, improve collections of customer accounts receivables, and reduce outstanding aged accounts receivable balances.
- Oversee the processes responsible for crediting qualifying new and existing customers.
- Lead the establishment of policies and procedures for review and follow-up of delinquent customer accounts receivable balances.
- Engage with customers, sales, and finance to understand and resolve undisputed collection issues.
- Provide operational support for accounts receivable balances outsourced for collections.
- Responsible for customers' open balances collections, trial balance reconciliations, unapplied payments & unapplied credit memos reconciliation.
- Track and communicate pro-active collections activities to highlight customer balances due in the current period and implement procedures for customer communications to obtain assurances of payment within payment terms.
- Monitor accuracy of customer data in accounts receivable database to assist in collections activities.
- Assist by providing analytical thoughts as guidance to peers on complex problems.
- Assist the Sales team in updating the system according to the Customer Information.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years' experience in Finance or collections.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- CBA/CBF or equivalent certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Oracle desirable.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
