\Job Summary\

The Debt Recovery Specialist on a portfolio of Equinix customers ensures all aspects of customers' credit limits and outstanding receivables are resolved while working with minimal supervision. This role requires expertise in finance and collections to maximize sales, improve collections of customer accounts receivable balances, and reduce outstanding aged accounts receivable balances.

\Key Responsibilities\
  • \
  • Oversees analysis on customer credit worthiness within established guidelines to make recommendations regarding extension of credit and credit amounts.\
  • Assists in the establishment and implementation of credit and collections policies to maximize sales, improve collections of customer accounts receivable balances, and reduce outstanding aged accounts receivable balances.\
  • Leads the establishment of policies and procedures for review and follow-up of delinquent customer accounts receivable balances.\
  • Engages with customers, sales, and finance to understand and resolve undisputed collection issues.\
  • Provides operational support for accounts receivable balances outsourced for collections.\
  • Responsible for customers' open balances collections, trial balance reconciliations, unapplied payments & unapplied credit memos reconciliation.\
  • Tracks and communicates with customers to obtain assurances of payment within payment terms.\
  • Monitors accuracy of customer data in accounts receivable database to assist in collections activities.\
  • Reconciles customer accounts and payments for proper collection strategies.\
  • Follows up on payments application and the issue of the Credit Memo needed to reconcile the AR Balance.\
  • Reconciles AR Balance in Oracle vs Governmental system of each country.\
  • Provides timely recommendations to management for customer accounts receivable balances in dispute.\
  • Maintains customer credit and collections documentation to support audit and legal requirements.\
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by Management.\
  • Travels to other regions for training/support of GPO related projects.\
  • Develops and implements effective collection strategies to minimize bad debt.\
  • Evaluates customer financial information to identify potential risks and opportunities.\
  • Identifies and resolves disputes related to customer accounts and payments.\
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.\
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in finance and collections.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years' experience in Finance or Collections.\
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.\
  • CBA/CBF or equivalent certification preferred.\
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).\
  • Oracle desirable.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
