About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis function, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting, strategic and customer planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a specific targeted area with financial and budget-related needs, conducting financial analysis for group/business unit leadership.
  • Partner with the Engineering business to support objective delivery by providing relevant financial analytics, regular reporting, and business insights to key stakeholders.
  • Apply strategic understanding of business dynamics and competitive forces in different markets to provide insights that aid the business in making financially sound decisions.
  • Escalate analysis and findings where applicable to Finance and Business leadership to deliver against financial plans and objectives.
  • Assist with strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with Engineering objectives.
  • Perform the annual target and budget process by issuing guidelines, analyzing performance, producing key management reporting, consolidating information, and tracking changes.
  • Drive the financial planning and reporting related needs and requirements.
  • Own the monthly close process, delivering analysis of variances against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals, key business drivers, and initiatives.
  • Design and execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modeling.
  • Investigate and create opportunities for automation and more efficient methods of insightful analysis creation and delivery.
  • Review and respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in business, accounting, and/or finance preferred.
  • Experience operating in a diverse, multi-functional accounting and/or finance group.
  • Ability to work independently but also be a team player, proactive, and able to deliver within agreed deadlines.
  • Experience building internal and external business partnerships.
  • Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations.
  • Experienced reviewing and analyzing financial and operational modeling.
  • Experienced with financial systems and applications.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities.
  • Successfully resolves complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.
