Senior Financial Planning Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with Corporate Function Leaders to support cost management, including annual budget preparation, monthly forecast, and monthly results review. Your responsibilities will also include updating standardized monthly reports and performing financial analysis against budget and forecasts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with immediate supervisor and Corporate Function Leaders to develop and implement cost management strategies.
  • Assist in updating monthly reports and performing financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with cost center managers to discuss forecast and preliminary budgets, highlighting major concerns and providing recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes to meet or exceed these requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Three to five years of work experience in financial planning and analysis, including exposure to monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting requirements of a publicly traded company.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Hyperion (Essbase) financial planning and reporting systems and MS Office tools, including Excel modeling skills.
  • Experience with SAP and/or PeopleSoft desirable.
  • Work experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare information, and/or consulting industries preferred.
