Job Summary

The SMB Success & Onboarding Manager plays a crucial role in driving the company's expansion, merchant acquisition, merchant retention, and engagement, and therefore, revenue growth within the small and medium business segment.

This role relies heavily on data analytics to make informed decisions and drive experimentation and optimization processes to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across the merchant's life cycle.

The SMB segment is composed of over 15,000 merchants.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Untapped Opportunities: Discover potential opportunities for growth of the existing segment, generating at least $2 million of extra GMV by the end of the year.
  2. Churn and Retention: Guarantee that over 80% of the SMBs base originates on a monthly basis.
  3. Deep Knowledge of Merchants' Behaviors: Lead and work collaboratively with analytics teams to continuously discover insights and drive actions based on data. Develop a value-based segmentation and create the framework for action.
  4. Team Performance: Manage an overperforming team and keep close tabs on the different KPIs within the segment.
Requirements
  1. MUST HAVE: Proven track record of successfully leading SMBs sales and customer success teams in the local market, with at least 4 years of experience leading high-performing sales teams.
  2. MUST HAVE: Comfortable in a startup setting, with the ability to thrive in organized chaos. Possess a proven track record of excelling in fast-changing, low-direction settings, demonstrating the ability to pivot as needed.
  3. MUST HAVE: Sense of commercial urgency, with the ability to move quickly and change iterations when things are going wrong in the fast-paced landscape of SMBs.
  4. MUST HAVE: Exceptional analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to drive strategic decision-making.
  5. MUST HAVE: Business Savvy, with demonstrated ability to build and present business cases to support the case for new initiatives.
  6. MUST HAVE: Strong track record of successfully leading teams during periods of accelerated growth and expansion.
  7. NICE TO HAVE: Demonstrated prior experience in project management, with proficiency in project management principles and methodologies.
  8. NICE TO HAVE: Previous experience and deep understanding of the payment methods and fintech industry.
