Cloud Solution Engineer Role Description

In this role, you will play a critical part in our team's success by collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose suitable Oracle cloud solutions. You will also work closely with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design and demonstrate Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems and drive Oracle Cloud customer consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in customer engagements to collaboratively design solutions.
  • Work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into solutions.
  • Display product/application understanding through customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at webinars and events.
  • Support Proof of Concept (POC) through deployment of services.
  • Support customer and partner education and development.
  • Create and distribute technical assets (white papers, blog posts, webinars, and video demonstrations).
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions.
  • Further build business and technical acumen.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience with public cloud platforms.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect/Engineer or in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with open source and cloud native.
  • OCI IaaS, PaaS knowledge.
  • Knowledge of other cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a differential.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Database as a Service. MySQL and MS SQL Server are desirable.
  • Licensing (Oracle Database and Middleware) and hardware (architecting and quoting) experience is a differential.
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Spanish (native), English (advanced) needed. Portuguese (basic/intermediate) is a plus.
