At Scotiabank, we're committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career. Our team in Global Technology Enterprise Platform (GTEP) is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our Cloud Engineering team.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you'll play a critical part in the design, deployment, and operation of our Private Cloud enterprise infrastructure services. You'll work with technical and business subject matter experts on medium to large, technically complex, and moderately risky projects to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing Private Cloud and various HCI solutions on-prem and in the public cloud
  • Managing and maintaining Private Cloud and various HCI solutions on-prem and in the public cloud
  • Providing Level 3 support and vendor escalations for transitioned services
  • Developing technical documentation of configuration and operational procedures for service operations teams
  • Contributing to implementation planning and understanding the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture

We're looking for someone with at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with VMware vSphere Hypervisor, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration, and Red Hat Linux administration 7.x/8.x/9.x.

Additionally, you'll need hands-on technical working experience with VMware vRealize suite, deployment and operational support of Dell VxRail and/or Powerflex hyperconverged clusters or Nutanix HCI solutions, backup from products like Cohesity and/or Rubrik and/or Veeam, disaster recovery and enterprise data replication technology, and scripting languages like VMware PowerCLI, REST API scripting, PowerShell, and Python.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you'll be rewarded with a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your experience. You'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
