We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our dynamic Latin America Reinsurance team. As a key member of the P&C Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting underwriters and contributing to the overall strategies objectives of the department.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the insurance/reinsurance industry, preferably in Property products. Knowledge of databases managing tools (SQL) and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and other software packages are also essential.
You will be responsible for thoroughly supporting underwriters and monitoring assigned portfolio to ensure data integrity is maintained within LMRe. This includes reviewing, organizing, and pre-analyzing submission information, registering and controlling submission flow in Salesforce, and analyzing submissions and pre-populating data in pricing tools.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, accounting, claims, and ops teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provide exceptional support to underwriters, ensuring timely and accurate underwriting decisions.
- Monitor and review internal reports to ensure data quality of the Latam book of business.
- Manage treaty wordings and signatures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Contribute to special projects as requested by management.
- Proven experience in underwriting and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
