Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee property-related activities, manage teams, and ensure the optimal use of facilities across our North region. This role involves coordinating with local teams, managing service contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, controls, and directs property-related activities such as identifying, acquiring, or leasing offices, land, and buildings.
  • Manages, coordinates, and ensures the preservation of all buildings, their maintenance, construction, modification, and optimal use of facilities.
  • Covers coordination roles for teams in some countries within the North region (Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, and Peru) and provides specialized technical support according to site needs.
  • Manages and coordinates service contracts and suppliers related to facility maintenance (electrical, generator, UPS, common areas, reception, toilets, meeting rooms).
  • Manages the cost center inherent to responsibilities under their responsibility within the regional.

Requirements

  • A professional degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3-4 years' experience in a similar position as a facilities maintenance manager, facilities supervisor, and/or facilities management.
  • Must have knowledge of property and facilities management.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, electrical and mechanical installations, building and facilities regulations, space management, management and administration of services, labor, and contractors.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing operational teams such as general services staff, messengers, receptionists, and building maintenance operators is required as an essential part of the role.
  • Conversational English B2 is necessary as you will be working with project teams in Germany and Brazil. Portuguese would be an advantage.
